Case Studies

Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC)

Services Solution:

LYCEUM currently provides help desk support services to the US Securities and Exchange Commission. The scope involves on-site support including hardware and software maintenance of desktop PCs, printers, peripherals and LAN servers.

LYCEUM personnel also configure and install hardware acquired by the SEC and install upgrades to existing systems. LYCEUM is responsible for remote support, maintaining the hardware and software at the SEC's 11 remote offices in major metropolitan areas including New York City, Chicago, Los Angeles and Dallas.

In addition, we provide hardware and software support for the agency's Sun and HP UNIX environments which includes critical coverage for the SEC's Sun Microsystems Enterprise line of servers

US Department of Justice (DOJ)

Services Solution:

LYCEUM provides on-call support for a highly specialized communications front-end processor that provides access to the agency's data centers for thousands of users.

Our support service involves dispatching on-call engineers for maintenance support at DOJ's Dallas facility on a 24x7 schedule. Due to the critical nature of the communications system, support personnel are required to meet a two-hour on-site response time. LYCEUM is able to accomplish this aggressive response by using a local service partner and a coordinated call dispatching and escalation procedure.

US Department of Education

Services Solution:

LYCEUM presents a certified and experienced team to deploy Microsoft NT and Windows 2000 at the US Department of Education.

Careful planning and execution facilitate minimal schedule disruption for the end users. Our maintenance of an on-site inventory, as well as access to our off-site inventories, enables a 90% "first pass fill rate."

LYCEUM also provides depot repair services for monitors, printers and notebook computers. Skilled bench technicians utilize specialized tools and equipment to diagnose and repair the failed component. Upon completion, the systems are then "burned in" to ensure the correction of the repair. Cleaned systems are then delivered back to the agency for return to the user.

US Internal Revenue Service

Services Solution:

LYCEUM is providing on-site support for converting, testing and implementing components of Internal Revenue Service, Office of Chief Counsel's Automated Systems Environment Management Information System (CASE-MIS) in an Oracle Developer 2000 environment.

Requirements include the conversion of character-based reports and forms to a GUI format, development of Oracle SQL scripts, execution of unit testing, and code revision. In addition, our staff are monitoring and updating the Problem Reporting System, updating Test Plans and Test Cases and updating the Designer/2000 module definitions.

General Services Administration (GSA)

Services Solution:

LYCEUM is part of a team awarded a contract to provide a wide variety of professional Information Technology (IT) support for the General Services Administration and other Federal agencies.
